Art Class for Teens Ages 13-18

Teen Photo Project

In this class, facilitated by photographer Joshua Langlais of
A Community Thread, students will have the opportunity to learn the basic elements of photography such as focus, exposure, and composition. You will incorporate those skills into weekly projects and you will learn to edit your images to make them look their best. We will discuss the idea of telling a story through photographs and finally, you will develop your own ideas into a visual story.

PARTICIPANTS WILL:

● Learn together as a group and support each other through the process

● Discuss the value of photography and how we can use it to have a voice in our community

● Develop a high standard for photography and learn how to choose the best images

● Make a photo story which will be publicly exhibited
